European stocks closed lower Tuesday, except in the UK.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 3.22 points, or 0.72%, to finish at 443.35.
The UK's FTSE rose 7.6 points, or 0.1%, to end at 7,607.
Germany's DAX 30 lost 187 points, or 1.29%, to 14,388.
France's CAC 40 was the worst performer, falling 93 points, or 1.43%, to 6,468.
Italy's FTSE MIB fell 303 points, or 1.22%, to end the day at 24,505.
Spain's IBEX 35 lost 79 points, or 0.89%, to close at 8,851.
