Actress Nicole Kidman was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Film Institute (AFI) on Sunday.
The ceremony, held in Hollywood, featured a touching moment when veteran actress Meryl Streep bestowed the award upon the 56-year-old Kidman.
Emotions ran high as Kidman took the stage, unable to contain her tears while expressing her gratitude, "Making movies is a privilege," she said.
Supporting her on this special occasion was her husband, Keith Urban.
AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award, hailed as "the greatest honor in American cinema," has been previously given to iconic figures in the industry including Streep, Julie Andrews, Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg.
