Israel has been charged by the Government Media Office (GMO) of fabricating allegations to clear itself of any involvement in Thursday's massacre in Gaza City.
The Israeli claims that the casualties in Gaza City at dawn on Thursday were self-inflicted are utterly false, the GMO stated in a statement late on Thursday night.
It charged Israel of deliberate murder and stated that Israeli forces began fire on the crowd with tanks and shells after they had gathered to grab everything, they could off the vehicles carrying supplies.
The Office explained that the wounds of the injured and those killed showed evidence of the internationally prohibited ammunition that was only owned by Israel.
Hundreds of civilians came to the area to obtain flour or canned food to feed their children and families in light of the continued starvation war they were subjected in Gaza City and northern Gaza, where no relief aid was allowed to enter for 146 days, the GMO said, noting that 700,000 citizens are present in these areas.
The Office appealed to the Arab and Islamic countries and free peoples of the world to urgently intervene and send relief aid to the Gaza Strip and to pressure Israel to halt its war of extermination against the Palestinian people in the beleaguered enclave.
Flour Massacre: The big Genocide
According to the Hamas, the Israeli army is attempting to disassociate itself from the Al-Rasheed Street massacre, also referred to as the "Flour Massacre," which claimed the lives of numerous civilians who were standing by the Al-Nabulsi roundabout in Gaza City, waiting to receive aid.
It issued the following statement on Thursday night: "Israel is trying to avoid taking accountability for the horrific crime that the Israeli army committed this morning against civilians who were waiting to receive food aid at the Al-Nabulsi roundabout area in Gaza City, which resulted in the deaths of over 110 people and the injuries of hundreds more." The Israeli army has been presenting presenting misleading information and lies about the horrific massacre.”
“The Israeli army is passing on a trivial narrative to justify its systematic killing of our people, which has been pursued since it launched its genocidal war against our people”, the Hamas added.
Hamas explained that the Israeli forces practice premeditated killing against civilians through direct shooting on upper parts of the body, as confirmed by the Ministry of Health, in addition to witness accounts confirming that citizens were exposed to direct shooting for the purpose of instant killing. “This only confirms the fact Israeli terrorist soldiers are thirsty to kill and commit most heinous crimes and violations, under the US protection,” it added.
For his part, Ezzat Al-Resheq, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, denounced on Thursday the lies of the Israeli army spokesman about the “Flour Massacre”, stressing that the Nazi army committed the massacre with premeditation.
Al-Resheq pointed out in a press statement that the Israeli army is trying to evade its direct responsibility for the horrific massacre by fabricated and false narratives.
He stressed that Israeli lies aim to cover up this heinous crime and to avoid widespread international condemnation.
The Group called on the International Criminal Court, and human rights institutions, to “document this heinous crime and take the necessary measures to hold this occupying entity accountable for its crimes and violations.”
Earlier on Thursday, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that more than 70 Palestinians were killed and more than 250 others were injured, before the number of dead rose to 112, as a result of Israeli targeting Palestinians rushing to an aid convoy south of Gaza City.
