Since the beginning of the continuing Israeli bombardment on the Strip, 71,000 persons have been injured, according to the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza.
The GMO held Israel and the US responsible for their enforced hunger strategy against Palestinians in the besieged Strip and issued a press release on Monday alerting the world to the growing famine in northern Gaza.
It stated that "the Israeli army has been preventing access to humanitarian aid in northern Gaza" and emphasized that using airdrops to provide aid is not the proper way to do so, but rather using Gaza crossings.
It highlighted that the Israeli army has committed 19 types of war crimes against humanity in Gaza in addition to targeting medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, which constitutes a war crime.
The GMO revealed that the Israeli army has committed 2,675 massacres against people in the Gaza Strip, with hospitals receiving 30,534 dead, including 13,430 children and 8,900 women.
About 364 doctors and medical staff, 48 civil defense workers, and 132 journalists have been martyred so far as a result of the Israeli aggression, the GMO statement added.
It also pointed out that the initial direct estimated losses of the war on Gaza surge to $15 billion, as more than 360,000 housing units were destroyed.
The GMO called on the international community to put pressure on Israel to stop its war of annihilation against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
