A heartbreaking incident unfolded in the Gaza Strip as the Israeli military's actions led to the martyrdom of at least 41 Palestinians and left many others injured in the cities of Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah.
According to reports from Al Jazeera, the Israeli military carried out an attack in Khan Younis that resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians in a house near Absan square. Additionally, a drone strike on a cemetery in Khan Younis claimed another life and caused several injuries.
In a separate tragic event, at least 31 individuals lost their lives and over 100 were wounded during an attack on Khadija's school in Deir al-Balah. The casualties include a child who succumbed to dehydration and malnutrition at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Further violence was reported in Rafah city, where Palestinians were wounded in the shelling of the al-Shakoosh area in the northwest. These incidents come amidst heightened tensions, leading to mass displacements in Khan Younis, with over 180,000 people forced to flee due to the ongoing conflict.
The United Nations Humanitarian Agency (OCHA) highlighted the dire situation, noting the displacement of thousands from central and eastern Khan Younis. The agency expressed concern for those trapped in the eastern part of the city and emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian assistance.
As clashes continue in the region, the closure of Gaza Strip crossings and intensified bombardment by the Israeli regime have added to the challenges faced by the population.
