The Brazilian national team won the semifinal clash with sets of 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 25-19 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
Italian star Paola Egonu scored 30 points. Miriam Sylla scored 17 points for Italy.
Meanwhile, Brazilian captain Gabriela Braga Guimaraes racked up 20 points to lead her nation in the semifinal.
Ana Carolina da Silva produced 17 points for Brazil, and her teammate Lorenne Geraldo Teixeira added 14 points.
Brazil qualified for a World Championship final for a fourth time in history as the South American team were the 1994, 2006 and 2010 silver medalists in the tournament.
On Saturday, the Brazil vs. Serbia final in Apeldoorn will begin at 1800 GMT.
Before the final, Italy will play against the US for the bronze medal. The third-place match will start at 1400 GMT.
