Belgium Secures Historic Win Over Spain to Reach Olympic Women's Basketball Semifinals

In a historic victory, Belgium advanced to the Olympic women's basketball semifinals for the first time by defeating Spain 79-66 on Wednesday. Kyara Linskens and Emma Meesseman led the scoring for Belgium, each contributing 19 points, with Linskens also securing nine rebounds and Meesseman grabbing eight. Julie Vanloo and Antonia Delaere added 13 points apiece in the winning effort.
For Spain, Megan Gustafson tallied a game-high 21 points and seven rebounds, while Maite Cazorla chipped in 13 points.
Earlier in the day, Australia secured its spot in the semifinals with an 85-67 victory over Serbia. Later, Germany is set to face France, and the United States will take on Nigeria.
