The Yemen’s Houthis showcased a number of missiles during a military parade that took place in the western Yemeni port city of Hodeida on September 1.
The military parade of the Yemeni joint forces caught the attention because of the location selected, the type and quality of the unveiled equipment, and the number of forces participating in the parade, which media outlets interpreted as a real display of power by the Houthis, that is going to change many positions in Yemen.
The parade of the armed forces of the Yemeni army was held in the strategic port of Hodeida with the name "Promise of the Hereafter". In this event, the Navy unveiled surface-to-sea missiles like "Al Mandab 2" and "Rubik" and "Faliq-1,” as well as new sea mines.
This extensive military parade has been unprecedented in its kind since the beginning of the war of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia against Yemen.
Media outlets announced that 25,000 troops from various ranks of the Yemeni army and popular committees participated in this parade.
However, the graduation ceremony of the military forces of the National Salvation Government of Yemen sent messages to the countries of the region and the world.
First of all, the location of the parade was important, holding the parade on the port of Hodeida had a special message for Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Four years ago, the Saudi-Emirati coalition made their last attempt to dominate this strategic port, but despite the heavy military and human losses, they could not achieve anything.
For this reason, Hodeida port is considered a very important and strategic port in Yemen, because in addition to the import of goods needed by the regions under the rule of the National Salvation Government of Yemen and providing basic needs such as food, medicine and fuel, as well as humanitarian aid, it overlooks the Red Sea, and in this sense, it can be considered as a link between exchanges and trade of goods and energy between Europe and Asia.
The width of the Red Sea from the starting point of Hodeida port in the east of the Red Sea to the west bank of Eritrea is about 160 km, and the weapons showcased in the recent parade, it can be said that the Yemeni Houthis and the army of this country, in addition to monitoring the traffic of commercial ships, oil tankers and ships in this area, it can prevent the traffic of commercial ships and oil tankers by observing any movement and target military ships and vessels.
On the other hand, this parade was named "Wa’ad Al-Aakhira" (Promise of the Hereafter) driven by the Qur'anic verses about the Children of Israel. The selection of this name is a clear message to Israel, whose presence in the military aggression against the Yemeni people has been proven many times, as one of the reasons for the start of this war against the Yemeni people by Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, was Israel's desire to take control of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden after taking control of the two Arabian islands "Tiran" and "Sanafir".
The reason for this claim is Israel's extensive influence in Ethiopia and Eritrea in Africa and the construction of military bases in these two African countries.
In fact, Israel wanted to be relieved from the coasts of Eritrea and Ethiopia and also from the coasts of Yemen, for this reason, it launched the war in Yemen under the leadership of Saudi Arabia, thinking that this war would end in three months. And the bare feet people of Yemen, who cannot even afford to buy shoes for themselves, how can they buy weapons. They will be dominated by the Saudis and all the positions will change in favor of the Israel-Saudi-UAE axis.
Unaware that the Israel-Saudi-UAE axis in this war encountered a hard rock called the Houthis, which not only did not disappear or weaken in this war, but now together with the popular committees and the Yemeni army, all the equations of this axis are combined, that is why Israel expressed concern about the power and capability of the Yemeni and Houthi army and claimed to carry out operations in Yemen, and now Yemen's military aristocracy on the Red Sea will be the most expensive for Israel and its allies in the region, including Saudi Arabia.
The extensive equipping of the Yemeni and Houthi army and the popular committees of this country with anti-ship missiles with a range of over 200 km, along with the drone capability of these forces, will practically give the Yemeni forces the upper hand in the war in Yemen.
In this parade, the countries of the world saw the emergence of a new power on the eastern shores of the Red Sea, a power that should be given a special place and importance in regional and international positions and equations.
If the Houthis dominate Taiz province, they will also take over the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait, and by taking control of this very strategic strait, they will be able to impose their views and policies, which are the provision of the national interests of the Yemeni nation, on the aggressor countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and force them to end their seven-year military aggression against the Yemeni nation.
There is no doubt, taking control of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait will be the next and main goal of the Houthis and the Yemeni People's Committees and the army of this country, Therefore, it is not an exaggeration, if it is said that the coming days, weeks and months Yemen will be witnessing very important developments, the first of which will be the new movements of the aggressor Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia to turn the tables in the field to their own advantage and the last of which will be victory for the benefit of the Yemeni nation.
