The Gaza Strip's Government Media Office (GMO) announced on Tuesday that, since October 7, 2023, 138 journalists had lost their lives as a result of Israeli attack.
According to the GMO, there has been a rise in the number of journalist deaths since journalist Muhammad Abu Sakhil was killed during the illegal Israeli raid on Gaza's Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
Two weeks after beginning a massive military raid at the location, the Israeli forces withdrew from Al-Shifa Hospital and its surrounding areas on Monday, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. They left behind numerous casualties and significant damage to the medical facility and its surroundings.
The ministry reported that "dozens of bodies were recovered from inside and around the medical complex."
The pace of targeting Palestinian journalists has increased since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, in an attempt to obscure the truth and terrorize journalists and news channels to prevent them from covering the Israeli ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
