UNICEF's James Elder issued a warning on Sunday, saying that "children in the Gaza Strip continue to be exposed to the horrors of war and hunger, while the world watches."
Elder made his comments in a post that was shared on X by the UN agency. The article included a live video that showed what was happening in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Children witness the atrocities of hunger and war, but despite this live broadcast of events, there is still no truce. While everyone is looking, nothing changes. James Elder, spokesman for UNICEF.
"Ceasefire has not yet been put into effect. As the world looks on, the children of the Gaza Strip are continually subjected to the atrocities of starvation and war. Elder added, stressing “the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza now.”
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has launched a brutal aggression against Gaza, leaving tens of thousands of civilians killed, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of many of the elderly and children.
