Moscow, Russia - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday reiterated his call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, urging international experts gathered at the Primakov Readings Forum to consider his proposals thoughtfully and rationally.
In a statement delivered through his aide for international affairs, Yury Ushakov, Putin emphasized that his plan offers a genuine opportunity to halt the conflict and move towards a political and diplomatic settlement. The proposal, presented on June 14, demands that Ukraine withdraw its troops from four regions, recognize Russia's territorial gains, and confirm its neutrality.
Additionally, Putin called for the cancellation of all anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the West. He expressed confidence that the forum participants would give due attention to Russia's ideas on creating a system of equal, indivisible security and mutually beneficial cooperation across the Eurasian continent.
The 10th International Scientific and Expert Forum Primakov Readings, an annual gathering of experts in international relations and global economy, is being held in Moscow on Tuesday and Wednesday.
