The women’s singles final of the 2023 French Open (Roland Garros) will feature Polish top seed Iga Swiatek and Czech Republic’s Karolina Muchova, who is ranked 43rd in the world.
The match will take place on Saturday at the Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris.
Swiatek, who is the defending champion, defeated Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in two sets, 6-2, 7-6 (9-7), in a semifinal match on Thursday. Muchova advanced to the final after a three-set victory over World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, in another semifinal match.
The French Open will conclude with the men’s singles final on Sunday.
