Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy embarked on an official visit to Sweden on Saturday, as reported by local media. Accompanied by his wife, Olena Zelenska, the President has a series of meetings scheduled, including encounters with the Swedish royal family, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Parliament Speaker Andreas Norlen, the commander-in-chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, and leaders of various political parties. Public broadcaster SVT has detailed that these discussions are primarily set to focus on matters of security and the extent of Swedish support for Ukraine's aspirations to join the European Union.
Highlighting the growing partnership between the two nations, Sweden has recently proposed a substantial 13th support package for Ukraine, amounting to Swedish krona 3.4 billion (roughly equivalent to $310 million). This gesture underscores Sweden's commitment to assisting Ukraine in its various endeavors.
