Mehdi Al-Mashat, the head of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, has officially approved a law criminalizing the recognition of the Zionist regime and any efforts to normalize relations with it. Al-Mashat emphasized that Yemen remains committed to targeting the Zionist regime in every possible way until the aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza ceases.
Betrayal of Arab and Islamic Ummah
Speaking on the matter, Al-Mashat condemned normalization with the Israeli enemy as a betrayal of the Arab and Islamic Ummah, asserting that compromising regimes act as tools within the framework of the Zionist project. He stressed that the approved law empowers Yemen to more effectively confront the Zionist regime and support the Palestinian nation and resistance.

Al-Mashat underlined that the law criminalizing recognition and normalization represents the stance of all free people worldwide, not just the Yemeni nation. Solidarity Meeting Approves Legislation
The law, passed on November 23 in a solidarity meeting in the Yemeni parliament, solidifies Yemen's opposition to the detrimental policy of regional regimes normalizing relations with the occupying regime. Yemen's naval forces had previously targeted Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait, with warnings that military operations will persist until Israeli aggressions on Gaza cease.
