Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed his differences with Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for the US presidential election and Vice President of the United States, during a meeting in Washington.
According to the Hebrew branch of the Tasnim News Agency, the Yediot Aharonot newspaper reported that Netanyahu expressed his dissatisfaction with Harris' statements regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement provided to the media by Netanyahu's office, it was claimed that Harris' remarks, as the Vice President of the United States and a candidate for the upcoming presidential election, could pose a challenge to reaching an agreement on the release of prisoners.
Quoting a prominent diplomatic source, Aharonot also raised concerns that if Hamas perceives Harris' comments as a divergence between the United States and Israel, it might impede progress in the negotiation process.
During her meeting with Netanyahu, Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party candidate, conveyed her deep concern for the victims in Gaza and stated to reporters, "We cannot turn a blind eye to these tragedies."
