Russia opened humanitarian corridors from Kharkov and Mariupol on Wednesday, while Ukraine did not announce a single route, Head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev stated on Wednesday.
"The Russian side opens humanitarian corridors from Kharkov and Mariupol to Russia every day at 10:00 am, as well as an additional corridor from Mariupol to Berdyansk," said Mizintsev, who heads Russia’s interagency coordination center for humanitarian response in Ukraine. "Ukraine did not announce a single corridor for today," he added.
The general pointed out that Russia was ready to promptly set up humanitarian corridors in any direction and ensure the safe evacuation of civilians. He also stressed that the Russian Armed Forces, as well as the forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, suspended the use of weapons along all humanitarian routes.
