Nikola Jokic made NBA history as the Denver Nuggets got 122-109 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies in NBA on Thursday.
Jokic led the Nuggets to victory with 35 points, 16 rebounds in the game at Ball Arena in Denver despite was hit by an inadvertent elbow from Jaren Jackson Jr. to forehead.
The regular season MVP candidate had to wear a red headband for the remainder of the game, after the bleeding stopped.
He went down history as the only NBA player to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists in a NBA season.
27-years-old said he has had a better season than the last one and added that he's not lobbying for another Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
"If that's enough, it's enough," he said. "If not, you cannot control that."
The Denver Nuggets lay sixth with 48 wins and 33 loses while the Memphis Grizzlies placed second with 55 wins and 25 defeats in the NBA Western Conference standings.
