Newsweek recently released a report highlighting the disagreements and divisions within the political and military structures of Ukraine regarding the defeat in the war. The report also emphasized that Western countries are actively seeking to identify those responsible for the failure in this conflict.
Regarding this matter, an American intelligence official, as quoted by journalist Seymour Hersh, stated that the CIA had informed Anthony Blinken that the counterattack against Ukraine would not yield positive results. The official expressed skepticism towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's actions, suggesting that some individuals within the US government view Zelensky's actions as baseless.
Additionally, the American journalist elaborated on Blinken's intentions to mediate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, drawing a parallel to the efforts made by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in Paris in 1973, which successfully ended the Vietnam War. However, the journalist emphasized that Blinken's attempt to replicate such a feat resulted in a significant setback, referring to it as a substantial loss.
