In a poignant letter released by the military media of Al-Qassam, a recently freed Israeli captive, Danielle, expressed deep gratitude to the fighters for their humanity and compassionate treatment during her captivity in Gaza.
Danielle and her 6-year-old daughter, Emilia Aloni, were part of the historic prisoner swap between the Resistance and Israel on Friday, November 24.
The letter, widely circulated in Arab and Middle Eastern media, including Anadolu News Agency and Al-Jazeera, detailed Danielle's appreciation for the considerate treatment her daughter received.
“My daughter felt like a queen in Gaza,” Danielle wrote. “Thank you for the many hours you spent as caregivers.”
The letter conveyed Danielle's acknowledgment of the fighters' gentleness, affection, and love, extending from the rank and file to the leadership. She expressed gratitude for the patience shown to Emilia, along with the provision of sweets, fruits, and care.
“To the generals who have accompanied me in recent weeks, it seems we will part ways tomorrow, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your extraordinary humanity shown towards my daughter, Emilia," Danielle expressed.
Despite the challenges faced by the fighters and the losses endured in Gaza, Danielle recognized their kind behavior and wished for genuine friendship in a world marked by understanding and goodwill.
“I will forever be a prisoner of gratitude because she did not leave here with a lifelong psychological trauma. I will remember your kind behavior, granted here despite the difficult situation you were dealing with yourselves and the severe losses you suffered here in Gaza."
The letter concluded with warm wishes for the health and well-being of the fighters and their families. Danielle expressed a sincere desire for a world where true friendships could flourish.
“I wish in this world we could truly be good friends. I wish you all health and well-being… Health and love to you and your families’ children. Many thanks.
Danielle and Emilia”
