The Zionist regime, as declared by its Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, has expelled Lynn Hastings, the United Nations Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs in Israel. Cohen, expressing discontent with the perceived bias of the United Nations, publicly announced the cancellation of Hastings' residence visa via his social media account on the X virtual network (formerly Twitter).
In his statement, Cohen asserted, "We will no longer be silent in the face of the prejudice of the United Nations and have decided to cancel the residence visa of Lynn Hastings, the coordinator of humanitarian affairs of the United Nations in Israel."
The Foreign Minister accused Hastings of failing to condemn Hamas for various alleged atrocities, including the killing of 1,200 Israelis, kidnapping of babies and the elderly, acts of torture and rape, and the use of Gaza residents as human shields. Cohen emphasized that anyone who does not condemn Hamas and instead criticizes Israel, is unfit for service in the United Nations and will be barred from entering Israel.
Hastings, during the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and Hamas' attack on the south of the occupied Palestinian territories, reportedly declined to condemn Hamas and criticized the Zionists' attack on Gaza. In recent weeks, Hastings has advocated for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza, describing the situation there as catastrophic.
The strained relations between the Zionist regime and the United Nations have persisted since the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. Previously, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres remarked that the attack by Hamas did not occur in a vacuum, triggering a call for Guterres' resignation by the Zionist regime's ambassador to the organization.
