In response to Yemeni militias aligned with the UAE declaring their readiness to thwart Yemeni army operations against Israel, the spokesperson for the Ansarullah Movement, Mohammad Abdul Salam, emphasized that Israel's reliance on mercenaries is a strategic miscalculation.
In a recent message, Abdul Salam highlighted the comprehensive nature of the Palestine issue, denouncing any passivity or neutrality as indirect support for Israel against Palestine and Gaza. He stated that the Yemeni people, representing various classes and groups, reject humiliation and stand united in supporting Gaza during challenging times.
Abdul Salam commended the armed forces' operations and called for solidarity with the Palestinian nation. He asserted that the bet placed by Israel and its allies on mercenaries to hinder Yemeni armed forces' actions has failed, emphasizing that these mercenaries betrayed both Yemen and the Palestinian cause.
These remarks followed the announcement by the "Transitional Council of Southern Yemen," affiliated with the UAE, expressing readiness to protect maritime navigation in the Strait of Bab al-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden.
The group's statement declared their preparedness to safeguard shipping lines in Bab al-Mandab in collaboration with regional and international partners.
In recent weeks, the Yemeni army targeted Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait, demonstrating support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. Yemeni naval forces had previously warned of ongoing military operations against Israeli ships until aggressions on Gaza ceased.
In response to the Israeli occupation's actions in Gaza, Yemeni armed forces vowed to target any available Israeli ships, underscoring their commitment to opposing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian nation.
