Kamala Harris' presidential campaign has shattered fundraising records, raking in a staggering $81 million in just the first 24 hours since President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 election.
According to the campaign, an impressive 888,000 donors contributed to the cause, with an astonishing 60% of them making their first donation of the 2024 cycle. This historic outpouring of support is further underscored by the fact that 43,000 donors signed up to make recurring donations within the same 24-hour period.
"This incredible showing demonstrates the kind of grassroots energy and enthusiasm that wins elections," said campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz.
Notably, this record-breaking haul comes on the heels of President Biden's endorsement of Vice President Harris as his replacement as the Democratic presidential candidate, announced on Sunday.
