Lebanon's Hezbollah has officially announced the martyrdom of its prominent commander, Haj Ebrahim Aqeel, during the recent Israeli invasion of Beirut. In a statement issued by the group, Hezbollah lauded Aqeel's dedication and sacrifices throughout his life, noting that he has now attained the highest status of martyrdom.
The statement emphasizes that Aqeel held a deep commitment to Jerusalem, expressing a lifelong desire to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It highlighted his aspirations and reiterated the organization's pledge to honor his legacy in the ongoing struggle for their goals.
Additionally, Hezbollah disclosed the names of 12 soldiers who lost their lives in the Israeli Air Force strike on Beirut, including eight high-ranking commanders from the Rezwan Brigade. The list of martyrs includes:
