On Friday night, Lebanon's Hezbollah issued statements regarding a series of intense rocket attacks targeting the northern regions of the occupied territories. The group declared that these actions were in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in response to alleged Israeli aggression against civilians and communities.
In a formal announcement, Hezbollah stated that its “Mujahid forces of the Islamic Resistance” launched massive rocket attacks on the occupied city of Safad at 5:45 PM local time. This strike was framed as part of their ongoing commitment to defend Lebanon and its population against Israeli actions.
Further statements from Hezbollah claimed that at 5:30 PM, their forces targeted the gatherings of Israeli military personnel in the Zofolon area, located to the north of Haifa. Additionally, another statement detailed that at 5:00 PM, the Mujahideen focused their attacks on Israeli soldiers in various settlements, including Kafriofal and Kafr Jaladi, as well as the headquarters of the 7th Armored Brigade stationed at the Katsafia barracks.
These developments underscore the escalating tensions in the region amid ongoing conflicts, with Hezbollah asserting its involvement and intentions to support both Palestinian resistance efforts and Lebanon's security.
