Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment in Lebanon, with reports indicating that enemy fighters have struck near Rafiq Hariri Hospital in Beirut. This attack marks one of the closest bombings to the hospital since the Israeli invasion of the city.
Sources confirm that on Monday night, the Israel targeted multiple areas in Dahiya and eastern Lebanon. Following previous assaults on civilian neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Beirut, there are growing fears that the Israeli forces may escalate its attacks to include hospitals under dubious pretexts.
Al-Mayadeen news channel reported that the Israeli armed forces have again targeted suburban areas of Beirut, including the Rafiq Hariri Hospital, raising alarms over potential further aggressions against medical facilities.
In statements to Al-Mayadeen, Fadi Allameh, director of Al-Sahel Hospital, criticized the allegations made by the Israeli military regarding the hospital, labeling them as false and misleading. He asserted that Al-Sahel Hospital is a private institution with no ties to any militant group, emphasizing that the attacks appear aimed at undermining Lebanon's medical sector.
Additional reports indicate that the attacks have extended to civilian areas in Awazai and Hara Harik in Dahiya. Al-Mayadeen's correspondent further noted a series of indiscriminate strikes by Israeli forces in the Hormel region in northern Bekaa, where residential homes were reportedly bombed, resulting in casualties.
The intensity of these assaults has increased significantly, with reports suggesting that Dahiya was struck multiple times within a single hour. Moreover, Lebanese news outlets have reported that Israeli incursions have affected five towns in southern Lebanon, including both agricultural and residential areas, contributing to escalating concerns over civilian safety and humanitarian conditions in the region.
