In a statement released by the Islamic Resistance Movement of Lebanon, the group dismissed reports from Israeli media suggesting that Karaki, a senior commander within Hezbollah, had been killed. The statement reaffirmed the well-being of Karaki, stating that both he and his brother, Mujahid Ali Karki, are in good health and have been relocated to a secure location.
This announcement follows an Israeli airstrike that targeted the suburb of Beirut on the same night, with Israeli army radio reporting Karaki as the intended target of the attack. However, a reporter present at the scene, indicated that the operation to assassinate Karaki was unsuccessful.
Israeli sources have identified Ali Karaki as a key figure within Hezbollah, positioning him as the organization’s third-in-command, alongside prominent martyrs Ibrahim Aqeel and Fouad Shekar.
The recent escalation saw extensive airstrikes across Lebanon, with the Lebanese Ministry of Health reporting that these attacks resulted in 356 fatalities and 1,246 injuries.
