As we continue to watch the horrors unfolding in Ukraine, and call for an immediate end to the conflict and humanitarian access, I’m here in Yemen to support people who also desperately need peace.

FIFA has eliminated Russian football from the World Cup for its military aggression against Ukraine, and at the same time, hosted Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia which has invaded Yemen for the past eight years and has massacred millions of civilians through bombing, famine, lack of access to medicine and treatment, due to the economic blockade imposed by the kingdom.

Rising global oil prices, along with gas, have led to soar prices for other energy carriers, such as coal, at an unprecedented rate, to the extent that the price of a ton of coal has increased beyond what it was during World War II.

Ukrainian General Staff says 48 aircrafts, 80 helicopters, 303 tanks, 1,036 armored vehicles were destroyed so far.
