China Remains Tight-Lipped on Biden's Presidential Exit

In a statement, China's Foreign Ministry declined to comment on US President Joe Biden's surprise decision to withdraw from the presidential race.
When asked about Beijing's reaction to the news, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said, "The US election is an internal matter of America."
Biden's exit came amid pressure from his fellow Democrats, and he has since endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the next Democratic nominee.
China's government has chosen not to publicly respond to the development.
